1. What is PocketTweak

PocketTweak was renamed from PalmTweak on ver 4.2 since the version no
longer supports Palm-size PCs.

PocketTweak is a small program for Pocket PC to configure device
settings without registry editors.

The following settings can be configured with the current version of
PocketTweak:

- To associate Extensions with Applications.
- Device power off time.
- Window animation.
- Menu animation. (Pocket PC 2002 only) new!
- System fonts.
- Font cache size.
- Scrollbar settings.
- Software Input Panel settings.
- Card battery warning. (Pocket PC only)
- Pocket IE to use Clear Type Text. (Pocket PC only)
- Clear history for 'Address' of Explorer. (Pocket PC only)

PocketTweak has the following advantages over modifying the registry
directly:

1) Safe

Modifying the registry incorrectly may cause the entire system to fail
or crash, specially for inexperienced users.  While PocketTweak does
not have such risk.

2) Easy

When using a registry editor, you must know in advance exactly how and
where to make the changes.  While PocketTweak uses an easy GUI, you do
not have to know anything about the registry to tweak your device.

3) Convenient

When tweaking under "Action" tab, all previous settings remain in the
drop down list.  Thus, you can easily go back to any former settings.

2. How to install PocketTweak

By extracting the files from zipped archive, you will find
'setup.exe'.  Execute the 'setup.exe' on your Desktop PC to install
PocketTweak on your device.  Do not forget to connect your device to
your Desktop PC by ActiveSync to transfer the program to your device.

After executing the setup.exe to transfer the program, soft-reset your
device in order for control panel to show the PocketTweak applet.

The following files are going to be installed through the
installation.

  ptweak.cpl (in \Windows)
  ptweak.htm (in \Windows)
  PocketTweak.lnk (in \Windows\Help)
  Tillanosoft PocketTweak.unload (in \Windows)
  Tillanosoft PocketTweak.dat (in \Windows\AppMgr)

In addition, the following registry entry will be created.

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tillanosoft\PalmTweak

3. How to uninstall PocketTweak

Please be aware that all settings remain as it is after
uninstallation.  Confirm all settings according to your preference,
prior to uninstallation.

Then, push the 'Clear' button in the 'About' page of the PocketTweak.
This causes all information PocketTweak stored in the registry for
itself to be removed.

Finally, you can uninstall PocketTweak via 'Remove Programs' applet in
control panel.  There is an entry named 'Tillanosoft PocketTweak'.
Select the entry and press 'Remove'
