Providing WebDAV information

The purpose of this dialog box is to enter the web address (URL) of the WebDAV server, your WebDAV user name, and your WebDAV password.

  1. Enter the web address (URL) for the WebDAV server.

    The web address used by the WebDAV server is typically different from that used to serve the site. The WebDAV address may have a port number appended to it, or other WebDAV designation.

  2. Enter the WebDAV user name.

    Note: Your FTP user name and password may be different from your network user name and password.

  3. Enter the WebDAV password.

  4. (Optional) To encrypt connection information for all websites, click the Advanced button. For more information, see Setting advanced connection settings.

    This option prevents unauthorized users from modifying your website when using the locally installed copy of Contribute.
