Setting the Shared Assets Properties dialog box options

Use the Shared Assets Properties dialog box to view or change properties assigned to shared assets.

There are two versions of the Shared Assets Properties dialog box: a dialog box that lets you view or change properties for a single asset, and a dialog box that lets you view or change properties for multiple assets.

Specify properties for images

  1. Make changes as necessary to the following options:

    Name
is the label of the image that appears to the user.

Use names that are easy for users to understand.

    ALT text
describes the image for people with disabilities or for people whose browsers are set to only display text.

  2. Click OK to apply your changes.

To specify properties for SWF or Dreamweaver library items:

  1. Select and type over the Name to change it, if necessary.

  2. (Library item only) Select the Lock item on page check box if you don’t want users to edit this item.

By default, library items are not locked, so that they are editable by users. Select the check box if you don’t want users to edit this library item.

Note: This option appears only when you edit properties for a single library item.
  3. Click OK to apply your changes.
