Entering user information for your blog host

The purpose of this dialog box is to provide the user name and password for the blog to which you want to connect.

The blog host you selected in the previous screen determines the information you need to enter. If you selected Blogger, TypePad, or WordPress as your blog host in this screen, you must enter the user name and password for the blog. If you selected Other Blog Servers, you must enter the URL for the blog as the access point as well as the user name and password.

Note: The desired blog host must support the MetaWeblog API.
  1. If you selected Other Blog Servers as your blog host in the previous screen, enter the URL for the blog to which you want to connect.

    For a list of blog server access points, see Blog server access points.

    If you selected Blogger, TypePad, or WordPress as your blog host, it is automatically specified as the access point.

  2. Click Next.

  3. In the Enter your blog server username field, enter your user name for the blog.

    Note: If your blog host is WordPress, your username must not contain any reserved characters, such as $.
  4. In the Enter your blog server password field, enter your password for the blog.

    The blog protocol appears.

  5. Click Next to proceed to the next screen.
