Entering information in the Log in to Publishing Server dialog box

The Log in to Publishing Server dialog box appears each time you access a website that CPS manages. Use this dialog box to enter user information so that Contribute can establish a connection with the server running CPS.

1. Enter your username and password.

   This is your CPS login information.

   Your CPS login information is the same as your network login information if the CPS administrator used an LDAP directory to add users to the website.

2. Select the Remember password check box to have Contribute remember your password in the future.

3. If you see the Trust this server check box, select this option to allow Contribute to trust the server you are connecting to.

   This option appears the first time you connect to this server or when server information changes (for example, when the security certificate expires). To verify that you can trust this server before you select the check box, do the following:

   • Click the Certificate link and note the Public key fingerprint.

   • Ask your CPS administrator to verify that the public key fingerprint is valid.
