Setting the Shared Assets options in the Role Settings dialog box
Use the Shared Assets category to create a library of images,
SWF content, and Dreamweaver library items from a list of shared
assets for your website. Users can copy assets from the list as
they need them.
To add a shared asset, click the Add button, and then
select Image, Library Item, or SWF.
In the Choose dialog box,
double-click the website root showing in the pane to view folders
on the website. Browse to and select the file you want to add, and
then click Select. Change or confirm the shared asset properties,
and then click OK.
You can Shift-click to select multiple assets. The
asset appears in the Shared Assets list.
To delete a shared asset, select an asset in the pane and
click the Remove button.
If a warning appears, click Yes to
continue.
The asset disappears from the Shared Assets list.
If the Use This List For All Roles option is selected, the asset
disappears from the Shared Assets list for all roles on the website.
To view or change shared asset properties, select an asset
in the pane and click the Edit button.
In the Shared Asset
Properties dialog box, make changes as necessary, and click OK.
Properties
include the name used to refer to the asset, alternate text for images,
and the editing attribute for Dreamweaver Library items. The editing attribute
determines whether the library item is locked, so that it cannot be edited,
or unlocked, so that it can be edited, when it is added by
users.
