Completing the Create New Entry section of the Insert Link dialog box
Use the Create New Entry section to insert a link from
an existing or a new blog entry to a new blank blog entry. You cannot
create a link to a new blog entry that belongs to a different blog.
Enter link text in the Link text text box, if you did
not select text or an image in your draft.
This is the text
a blog visitor clicks to go to another page.
Note: Some blogs
do not allow images, enclosures, media files, or links to local files
in the content. Verify whether your blog makes this exception.
In the Create new entry from pane, under the expanded blog
folder, select Blank Blog Entry to create a blank entry in that
blog.
Note: You can only create a new entry in the blog that
you are currently viewing.
Enter a title for the new blog entry in the New entry title
text box.
This title appears in the new blog entry.
To set advanced options, click the Advanced button (Windows)
or click the expander arrow in front of Advanced options (Mac OS),
and then make the following change:
Select a target frame:
- Default
- opens the linked document in the current window. If the page contains
frames, the linked page opens in the frame that contains the link.
- Entire window
- opens the linked document in the current window. If the page
contains frames, the linked page fills the entire window, not just
the frame that contains the link.
- New window
- opens the linked document in a new browser window, instead of
the current window.
Click OK.
Contribute adds the link to your draft and
then opens the new entry in the Contribute editor.
Note: Contribute
automatically saves the new blog entry in the same folder as the draft
that links to it (unless you selected another blog). When you publish
your draft, Contribute also publishes the new blog entry.
To return to the draft where you inserted the link,
click its title in the Pages panel.
