Adobe Media EncoderAdobe Media Encoder is a free-standing encoding application that is employed by programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Soundbooth, and Encore. When you specify export settings in the Export Settings dialog box, Adobe Premiere Pro calls the Adobe Media Encoder to do the encoding. You can also manually import one or more Adobe Premiere Pro sequences into the standalone Adobe Media Encoder queue to encode them into one or more formats, or to take advantage of other features. When the standalone Adobe Media Encoder is rendering and exporting a composition in the background, you can continue to work in Adobe Premiere Pro. After a sequence has been added to the Adobe Media Encoder queue, the most recently saved version of that sequence is the version that is rendered by the Adobe Media Encoder.
