Text Options

Text options define how to encode bitonal DjVu^® images and the mask layer of color DjVu images. They control the amount of textual detail that is exchanged for faster processing rates and smaller output file sizes. Specifically, text options do the following:

• Define the amount of detail that should be preserved
• Disable halftone detection
• Specify the number of pages in a multiple-page input file that should be included in a shared dictionary file
• Define the type of data in the mask layer to implement the most effective mode of JB2 data compression

Text options are supported by the documenttodjvu command.
