Turning Equations On or Off

To prevent a region such as an equation or a graph from being calculated:

1. Click in the equation.

2. Choose Properties from the Format menu and click on the Calculation tab.

3. Click in the box next to "Disable Evaluation."

You'll see a small box next to the equation that indicates that evaluation is turned off. For example:

You can also right-click on the equation and disable or enable evaluation directly.

To turn the equation back on, follow the same steps.

Notes:

• You can edit a disabled equation just as you would any other equation. However, a disabled equation does not affect any other calculation, nor does it reflect changes you make to other equations in the worksheet.
• If you move a disabled equation that happens to be displaying a result, the result disappears. If you move a disabled graph, whatever is inside the graph disappears.
