Insert Function Dialog Box

Function Category

Lists categories of built-in functions. Choose "All" to see all the functions.

The categories can change depending on whether you've installed additional Mathcad Extension Packs or whether you've written your own built-in functions.

Function Name

Displays a list of built-in functions in the selected category.

Syntax

Shows the quantity and type of arguments required for the function.

Description

Displays a description of the function.

Insert and OK buttons

Inserts the function (together with placeholders for its arguments) into your worksheet.

To apply a function to an expression you have already entered, surround the expression with the editing lines and then click this button.

Help button

Opens online Help for the function.
