QuickPlots

2D QuickPlots

Typically, when you create an X-Y or polar plot, you first define a range for the variable in the expression you are plotting. In a QuickPlot, the range is automatically generated for you.

For example, if you want to plot x versus x2, you do not need to first define x as a range variable. To create a 2D QuickPlot, simply insert a plot operator, type x in the bottom placeholder, and x2 in the left-hand placeholder.

The range -10 to 10 is automatically used for x in 2D QuickPlots. Log-scale plots use an appropriate log-scale range. To modify the range of x in the QuickPlot, change the plot limits.

3D QuickPlots

When you define a function or a set of functions and graph it in three dimensions, you are creating a QuickPlot. To change the range used, double-click on the 3D plot, and choose the QuickPlot Data tab.
