Annotating an E-book

You can make changes in an E-book using the same techniques as in any Mathcad worksheet. While you cannot delete original regions in an E-book, you can change equations, add new equations, and add new text. Any changes you make are lost when you close the book, unless you choose Annotate Book from the Book menu in the Resources window.

If you save changes, Mathcad creates an annotated copy of your E-book, which it opens instead of the original E-book. An asterisk appears on the title bar when a changed section is open. The original state of the book is also saved so you can always restore it.

Appearance of annotations

By default, Mathcad highlights any changes you make to an E-book in a different color. To specify this color, choose Color > Annotation from the Format menu.
