When you run the Intel PROSet/Wireless Installer program, it automatically upgrades from Intel PROSet/Wireless software version 9.x and any installed utilities to version 10.0.
When you run the Intel PROSet/Wireless Installer program, it automatically replaces Intel PROSet/Wireless software version 8.x and any installed utilities with version 10.0.
For the driver and software to function correctly on Windows 2000, the recommendation is to install Service Pack 4 or later.
For the driver and software to function correctly on Windows XP, the recommendation is to install Service Pack 1 or later.
EAP-FAST A-ID Groups: The process to add an Authority Identifier (A-ID) to an A-ID group has changed from what is currently described in the Intel PROSEet/Wireless help and user guide. Once an A-ID group has been selected, the A-IDs are extracted from the PACs on the A-ID group server. The list of A-IDs is automatically populated instead of the administrator adding them manually.
The current version of Intel PROSet/Wireless Software is compatible with Novell Client(TM) for Windows XP/2000 versions 4.90 SP2 only.
Single Sign On: The Microsoft Windows log on user name and password is set for a Pre-Logon profile using the user name and password from the Novell login screen. Verify that the “Use prelogon feature for wireless networks”is selected on the Novell Client(TM) for Windows XP/2000 login screen.
Administrative rights are required to access a machine certificate. Therefore, a restricted user is prevented from using profiles that use a machine certificate.
A user needs to obtain a user certificate valid for the network before using pre-logon connect.
A client disassociates upon moving to hibernation mode when the following conditions are met:
