This section describes the basic edit views and the button functions in CD-LabelPrint.  Learn the functions of the buttons before creating the labels.

Label Edit

  1. Toolbar: Places the frequently used functions (such as Open and Save) as buttons.
  2. Ruler: To show the guide bar, place the mouse over the ruler and drag to the Label Edit view.
  3. Design Field: The design field for the selected label.
  4. Sheet tabs: If you are editing multiple sheets in one file, use these tabs to switch between the sheets.
  5. Printer pull-down menu: You can select a printer to use from the pull-down menu. Only the installed Canon CD Direct Printer will be displayed.
  6. Print: Prints the created label.
  7. Preview: Switches to show the Entire Sheet view.
  8. Paper Image: The entire image of the sheet.  The edited label is shown in pink.
  9. Adjust Circle Size: Adjusts the circle size of the disc.  The button appears only when CD Label Print is selected for the Print Genre.
  10. Background Trim...: Adjusts the position of the background.  The button is enabled only when a picture (other than gradation or monochrome) is specified for the background.
Entire Sheet

  1. Toolbar: Places the frequently used functions (such as Open and Save) as buttons.
  2. Sheet Design: The selected label has a blue outline.  You can switch to other labels.
  3. Printer pull-down menu: You can select a printer to use from the pull-down menu. Only the installed Canon CD Direct Printer will be displayed.
  4. Print: Prints the created label.
  5. Label Edit: Switches to the Label Edit view.
Toolbar Icons



Opens a new window for designing a new label.  The paper previously selected in the Paper Selection is displayed automatically.



Calls data of the saved label.  It stores the most recent folder that was opened.



Saves label data.  You can specify the destination.



Select to change the Print Genre.



Selects texts and figures.  They can be transformed and moved.
After you finish working in each icon, it automatically returns to the Select icon.



A tool for editing texts, such as input, transform, and change text color.



You can select a background.  The background cannot be moved, although the images can be moved.  Start here to load a picture from a scanner or digital camera to use as a background.



Calls collection of images and saved images.  Start here to load a picture from a scanner or digital camera as an image.



Draws a rectangle.



Draws an ellipse.



Draws a line.



Draws a curve.



You can specify the font and its size.



You can change the text style, such as bold and italic.



You can change the text layout to align left, center, and more.



You can specify the text color, fill color, and outline color of a figure.



You can bring (send) a selected object to the front (back).



You can magnify (reduce) a label.
