Displaying the normal Windows desktop screen

VAIO Care Rescue is software for restoring your computer if the operation of your computer has become unstable.
If VAIO Care Rescue is launched without your intent, you can exit the software and restart Windows using the following procedures.

1. Click Exit in the first screen shown in VAIO Care Rescue.
2. Click Restart in the screen which prompts you to shut down or restart Windows.

VAIO Care Rescue ends, and Windows starts after a short while.

How to start VAIO Care Rescue

You can start VAIO Care Rescue using the following operations instead of starting Windows. You can also start VAIO Care Rescue from Recovery Media.

• ASSIST Button - Some models only
  Press the ASSIST button when your computer is turned off.

  Note

  Be sure not to mistake the ASSIST button for the power button.
• VAIO Care
  You can start VAIO Care Rescue from VAIO Care installed under Windows.
