1. Install, play, deinstall

If you can read this text, you probably already knew how to install this game. Congratulations!
To start it, select Frozen Fruits from the Windows startmenu or double-click the icon on your desktop.
To deinstall (delete) it from your PC, select Uninstall Frozen Fruits from the startmenu.

Minimal requirements for the game:
CPU 133MHz, Windows with DirectX7, 16MB Ram

2. About the game

2.1 The great story

 Foul aliens from the other end of universe travelled through an interstellar wormhole and took over mother earth. Mankind's last chance: Infiltrate all of their 35 gigantic fruit storage buildings and destroy every single piece of fruit! (The aliens are vegetarian) Without food their reign of terror will come to an end.

2.2 Your mission

Goal
Your mission is to get access to all 35 store-rooms of the aliens and destroy all fruits there. When you start the game, your spheroid fruitcrusher has just entered the alien's storage building. Here you can enter the 35 rooms through the green tubes. If you destroy all fruits in a store room, you get one star. You will need the stars to gain access to new areas in the storage building. Star doors block your forthcoming. To smash a star door, you need at least as many stars as is inscribed on the door. Tubes with a star on them haven't been solved yet.

Store rooms
In the store rooms you have to smash all fruits. A fruit can only be destroyed, if your fruitcrusher has the same color as the fruit. You can change your color by touching color switches.

Because I got some email requests: Yes, all of the rooms are solvable, though some may seem impossible at first sight.

After you have solved all 35 rooms, there is no ending scene or something.
So don't be surprised,when the game comes to an abrupt end.

2.3 Game controls

• move left/right: cursor keys or 4,6 on the num. pad
• vertical thrust: press space or shift
• go to menu: enter or esc
• delete a savegame: press delete or backspace twice
• quit: alt+F4

Note: Your game is saved to harddisk automatically after each completed room !

Note: Using the shift key brings problems on WindowsXP. You can turn the message off somehow. Sorry for the inconvenience.

2.4 Your enemies

Skulls
You will find skulls of different colors in the rooms. Never collide with a skull, that has your color. Brown wooden skulls are always deadly. Don't touch any skull after you have taken a bomb.

Alien guardians
Never collide with one of them.

3 types of guardians are patrolling in the store-rooms:

• Zeppelin: There's nothing special about this balloon.
• Sparks: They just wander round the rooms. If a spark touches water, it explodes.
• Blue devil heads: They fall down and smash objects that stand in their way. If this guardian falls to the bottom of the room, it explodes.

2.5 Special items

• Bombs: Take a bomb and you are able to smash various kinds of blocks - try it out !
• Water: There are blue water blocks which can't be destroyed by a bomb. Use a spark to smash them !
• Ice: Iceblocks freeze your movement till you collide with a non-ice object.
• Teleports: They can bring you to another part of a store room.
