The Symbolic Keyword Toolbar

Live symbolics can be used to evaluate expressions analytically instead of numerically. The symbolic equal sign can be modified by keywords. Instead of typing a keyword, you can use a keyword button on the Symbolic toolbar. Click on the button in the Math toolbar to bring up the Symbolic toolbar or choose View > Toolbars > Symbolic from the menus:

Buttons on the Symbolic toolbar insert the symbolic equal sign and symbolic keywords. Delete any placeholders for optional arguments that you don't need.

Click the Modifiers button to bring up the Modifier toolbar.

To learn what a button does, hover the cursor over the button until a tooltip shows the title and a description appears on the message line of the Status Bar.
